Romanch: A Refereed Journal of UMED RASA is a scholarly journal affiliated with UMED RASA (the University of Mumbai English Department Researchers' Association for Scholarly Activities), also known as the Research Club. The objective of UMED RASA is to offer up-and-coming researchers an opportunity to engage with experts, exchange ideas with their peers, and develop research skills and experience through the process of composing and publishing academic papers.

Romanch thus offers researchers whose abstracts were selected for the annual TABULA RASA Conference a platform to develop those abstracts into a research paper and pursue publication in our journal for M.A. and Ph.D. students. It publishes papers in the fields of English Studies and adjacent fields, ranging from literature and linguistics to cultural and film studies, while providing a new theme for submissions each year. The journal is published annually, with the 2026 volume on Koham: Narratives of the Self and the Other being its first, and is open to all research scholars who participated in the TABULA RASA Conference of that year. Romanch employs a blind peer review process following an initial stage of screening, and publishes all the selected papers in an online format at the official website of the Department of English, University of Mumbai.
